(a) to (f): The Government with a view to augment the income of small and marginal farmers has announced a new Central Sector Scheme, namely, “Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAmman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)”. Under the Scheme, financial benefit of Rs.6000/- per year will be provided to all small and marginal land holding farmer families across the country, subject to certain exclusion, and having cultivable land upto 2 hectare. This financial benefit will be provided in 3 equal instalments of Rs.2000/- each every four months in a financial year. The Scheme takes effect from 01.12.2018. The scheme aims to supplement the financial needs of the farmers in procuring various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields, commensurate with anticipated farm income.
