(a) whether the Government proposes/ is likely to propose a scheme to connect the upcoming international airport at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh with rapid rail network;

(c) the time by which the said scheme is likely to be completed/implemented?

(a) to (c): Government of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation granted ''in principle'' approval to Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) for setting up of a Noida International Greenfield Airport near Jewar on 08.05.2018. GoUP appointed Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) as the implementing agency for the project. As per the Greenfield Airport Policy, 2008, subsequent to grant of ''in principle'' approval to an airport project, all responsibilities regarding execution of the project are the sole responsibility of the project proponent i.e. GoUP/YEIDA in the case of Jewar Airport Project. As per the information provided by GoUP/YEIDA, M/s. RITES Limited has been asked to conduct a study on Multi Modal Urban Transit System connectivity from the proposed Noida Airport to Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), Delhi.
