Question : Integrated AYUSH Hospitals

(a) the details of the integrated AYUSH hospitals inaugrated and the foundation stones of such hospitals laid along with the funds released/allocated to promote these systems of medicines by the Government under the National AYUSH Mission and through other schemes during the last five years to till date, State/UT-wise indicating the number of beds therein; and

(b) the details of the new AYUSH Hospitals/new AYUSH Educational Institutes for Ayurveda particularly in remote and other areas and the number of total new AYUSH Health & Wellness Centres (HWCs) which were also inaugurated in different parts of the country along with foundation stones laid and in progress according to the demands of the districts/States till date, State/UT- wise?

(a) Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the National AYUSH Mission (NAM), Ministry of Ayush has approved 89 Integrated AYUSH Hospitals to different State/UT Governments as per the proposals received in their State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) during the last five years to till date. State/UT wise details of approved Integrated AYUSH Hospitals along with the number of beds therein, inauguration and foundation stone made by the States/UTs is furnished at Annexure I. Further, State/UT wise funds released/allocated to promote these systems of medicines by the Government under the National AYUSH Mission from 2016-17 to 2021-22 till date is furnished at Annexure II.

(b) As mentioned in the reply of part (a) 89 new Integrated AYUSH hospitals has been supported under NAM in different States/UTs which covers the remote and other areas during the last five years to till date. However, under NAM there is no provision for establishment of dedicated new Ayurveda Hospital. Further, under NAM Ministry of Ayush has approved the establishment of 07 new AYUSH Educational Institutes and 7513 AYUSH Health & Wellness Centres (HWCs) as per the proposals received from the State/UT Governments through SAAPs from 2016-17 to 2021-22 till date. The State/UT wise details of New AYUSH Educational Institutes & AYUSH HWCs approved under NAM and their inauguration in different parts of the country along with foundation stones laid by States/UTs is furnished at Annexure III.
