(a) to (f) The Government is implementing various textiles schemes across the country which are aimed at betterment of textile sector including the State of Tamil Nadu. The details of some of the major schemes are at Annexure-I.
The funds are allocated schemes-wise on PAN India basis. The details of funds allocated/released under various Textile sector schemes in Tamil Nadu alongwith their current status are given below:
i) Technology Upgradation Scheme (TUFS)

ii) Scheme for Integrated Textile Parks (SITP): Under the scheme, 8 Textile Parks have been sanctioned in Tamil Nadu. The status is given below alongwith the funds allocation detail:

iii) Powerloom Sector: The details of funds allocated and released is at Annexure-II.
iv) Workers’ Hostel scheme: Workers’ Hostel at Palladam Hi-Tech Weaving Park has been completed as per scheme guidelines and is currently providing accommodation to around 312 workers. Details of funds released to this project are as follows:

These textiles sector schemes are aimed at promotion/upgradation of textile industries/units on pan India and have large potential to generate employment opportunities benefitting workers engaged all over the country including Tamil Nadu.
