Question : MSIPS

Will the Minister of Electronics and Information Technology be pleased to state:

(a) the number of projects that have availed the Modified Special Incentive Package Scheme (MSIPS) so far, year-wise and State-wise;
(b) the details of investment made in the projects availing MSIPS so far, year-wise and State-wise;
(c) the details of projects that have received reimbursement of different forms of taxes under MSIPS and the total tax reimbursed so far, State-wise; and
(d) the number of jobs created by the projects availing MSIPS, State-wise

(a): Under Modified Special Incentive Package Scheme( MSIPS), so far 134 applications have been approved to avail incentives under MSIPS. State-wise and Year-wise details of these applications are placed at Annexure-I.

(b) and (d): As per the reports provided by the applicants approved under MSIPS, as on 30-09-2017, a total of Rs. 3585 crore has been invested in 72 projects resulting in employment generation of 27804 persons( direct and indirect). State-wise details of the investment made and employment generated is placed at Annexure-II. The year-wise investments is not available in records.

(c): So far, under the MSIPS scheme, incentives of Rs 122.06 crore have been disbursed to the 11 applicants, out of which, the Capex subsidy is Rs 113.94 crore and Tax reimbursement is Rs 8.13 crore
