(a) whether the Union Government has received any proposals for development of National Highways in West Bengal;

(b) if so, the details thereof during each of the last three years;

(c) whether any pending proposals are lying with the Government; and

(d) if so, the details and the reasons therefor?

(a) Yes Sir.

(b) The details of proposals, as received from the Government of West Bengal, and sanctioned by the Ministry during the last the three years are as under:

(c) & (d) Works as included in Annual Plan of any year are considered for sanction subject to the limit of sanction determined on the basis of annual allocation to the State and the sanction already available with the State. Proposals, not meeting the criteria, are returned to the respective State unapproved.
