(a) the details of agencies that are carrying out Research and evelopment
(R&D) activities pertaining to national security in the country;
(b) the total funds allocated for such purpose to these agencies during the last three years;
(c) whether the Government has any proposal to increase the allocation for R&D; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a): The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), an R& D wing of the Ministry of Defence and Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D), an organisation under the Ministry of Home Affairs, are the two main agencies involved in Research & Development activities for enhancing the operational capabilities of armed forces and police forces respectively.
