(a): Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) is operated in a demand driven and project mode with district as a unit. At present, there are 607 rural district projects approved under Total Sanitation Campaign including 25 district projects in Gujarat.
(b): The implementation of Total Sanitation Campaign benefits the community as a whole in the project area. The number of beneficiary households incentivized for Individual Household Latrines (IHHL) construction and usage as per progress reported by the States through online monitoring system maintained by the Ministry during each of the last three years, State-wise is at Annexure.
