Answer given by the minister

THE MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE)
FOR YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS
[COL. RAJYAVARDHAN RATHORE(RETD.)]

(a) to (d): Madam, all the National Sports Federations (NSFs) and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) are required to adopt mandatorily the provisions of the National Sports Development Code of India, 2011 (NSDCI). Archery Association of India, All India Tennis Association, Indian Golf Union and Judo Federation of India had failed to follow the provisions of the NSDCI relating to
the age & tenure restriction of office bearers. Hence, annual recognition to these NSFs was not given by the Government of India. The list of NSFs which have been given annual recognition for 2018 is attached as Annexure.
The annual recognition of the NSFs which failed to adhere to the provisions of the NSDCI is withheld/ withdrawn. Consequently, such NSFs are not eligible to receive financial assistance and other benefits from the Government of India. This Ministry has also written to States requesting them to consider its applicability to state associations.
