(a) & (b) Asian Development Bank has not provided any assistance for projects specific to Maharashtra. However, the Surat Manor Tollway Project, for which ADB has extended a total assistance of US $ 180 million to National Highways Authority of India for four laning of National Highway No. 8, includes a 60 km. long section in Maharashtra. The loan approved in July 2000 is scheduled to close in September, 2004. The cumulative loan disbursement as of May 2001 is US$ 7.78 million.
