(a)Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change provides funds for regeneration of degraded forests and adjoining areas through people’s participation through a Centrally Sponsored Scheme “National Afforestation Programme (NAP)”. The Scheme is being implemented through a decentralized mechanism of State Forest Development Agency (SFDA) at State level, Forest Development Agency (FDA) at Forest Division level and Joint Forest Management Committees (JFMCs) at Village level. Funds are released toState Forest Development Agency’s(SFDA’s) through State Governments; in –turn State Forest Development Agency (SFDA) releases funds to Forest Development Agencies(FDAs). No fund released to Darbhanga in Bihar under National Afforestation Programme (NAP). Funds to the tune of Rs. 892.12 Lakh were released to State Forest Development Agency (SFDA), Haryana during last three years (2015-16 to 2017-18) which includes Rs. 113.59 lakhs sanctioned for Sonepat Forest Development Agency (FDA) under National Afforestation Programme (NAP). (b), (c) & (d) Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change received Utilization Certificate (UC) for the amount released during 2015-16 from State Forest Development Agency (SFDA), Haryana with an amount of Rs. 248.00 lakh out of Rs. 271.06 lakh. No data is maintained in the Ministry district-wise separately.
