Under NAM, grant-in-aid is being provided to State/UT Governments as per their proposed State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs). Since, implementation of the programme comes under the purview of State/UT Governments, therefore Grant-in-aid has been provided to the States/UTs for setting up of 50 bedded AYUSH Hospitals as per the proposal submitted by them in their SAAP. The State/UT wise list of assisted 50 bedded integrated AYUSH Hospitals is furnished at Annexure-II

(d): As health is a State subject, the information regarding estimated number of patients being treated each day at various AYUSH hospitals is not maintained by the central Government. However, as per the information received from State/UT Government total number of 19.58 Lakhs IPD patients and 1773.75 lakhs OPD patients have reported State/UT Government health care facilities under AYUSH during 2017-18.
(e): The Central Government has launched Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM) for overall promotion of AYUSH including Ayurvedic treatment in the country. The Mission envisages better access to AYUSH services including Ayurveda, strengthening of AYUSH educational institutions, enforcement of quality control of Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani & Homoeopathy (ASU &H) drugs and promotion of medicinal plants for sustainable availability of raw-materials for ASU & H drugs in the States/UTs. Further, the Ministry has taken up initiatives for propagation and promotion of AYUSH systems of medicine including Ayurveda by organizing Arogya Fairs/Melas, Conferences, Exhibitions, Seminars, Workshops, Symposium and also publicity through electronic and print media. The Ministry is also observing important days dedicated to AYUSH Systems of Medicine viz.
