Question : COMPANY LAW SETTLEMENT SCHEME



(a) the total amount collected by Department of Company Affairs under Company Law Settlement Scheme, 2000;

(b) the manner in which this amount is likely to be utilised;

(c) whether the Registrar of Companies have issued the immunity certificates to all the companies who had filed documents under CLSS-2000; and

(d) if not, the time by which the immunity certificates are likely to be issued to these companies?

(a) : The Government has collected Rs. 136.85 Crore under Company Law Settlement Scheme, 2000 and the amount has been deposited in the Public Accounts of India.

(b): Ministry of Finance has been requested to provide Rs. 125 crore out of the said collection for setting up an Institute of Corporate Excellence and also for carrying out second phase of computerization and modernization of offices of Registrars of Companies.

(c) & (d) : No Sir. Issue of immunity certificates to the applicant/companies who have applied following the due procedure is in progress.
