(a) whether the Government has rejected the applications of a number of NGOs and charitable groups working for protecting civil liberty and human rights under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010; and
(b) if so, the number of such organizations/groups whose approval were denied during the last three years and the current year alongwith the details about some prominent organizations?

(a) to (b): No separate data about applications of NGOs and charitable groups working for protecting civil liberty and human rights is maintained. The decision on applications under FCRA is taken in accordance with the provisions of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 and rules made thereunder.
