(a) whether the Government plan to give priority in providing telephone and Internet connections to health care institutions including medical and dental colleges;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether applications for providing internet and telephone connections to medical, dental and other such institutions in Jharkhand are pending with the Government; and

(a)& (b) Government is providing internet connectivity through National Knowledge Network (NKN) to healthcare institutions. List of connected healthcare institutes under NKN is at Annexure. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is providing free telephone service with local calls at all district hospitals and major hospitals in cities where emergency patient are admitted. This facility is available to make outgoing calls to any BSNL landline and BSNL mobile as local call.
(c)& (d) Ranchi Institute of Neuro Psychiatry and Allied Science(RINPAS) has been approved on 22.07.2015 to be connected under NKN. BSNL has informed that no application for providing internet and telephone connections to medical, dental and other such institutions in Jharkhand is pending with it.
