Question : PG Medical Education

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) whether it is a fact that the Indian students who pursued PG Medical Education in various Universities in Nepal in the year 2014 are yet to be awarded their degrees;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor, University-wise and their department-wise;
(c) whether any representations have been received to facilitate issuance of their degrees, if so, the details thereof;
(d) the steps taken/being taken by the Government in this regard; and
(e) the time by which the issue of issuance of PG degrees is likely to be resolved?

(a) to (e): The National Medical Commission (NMC) informed that the concerned foreign University awards degree to the candidates enrolled by it and such matters do not come under the purview of the Commission. The NMC also informed that no such representation has been received by them in this regard.
