(a): Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) project (508 Kms) is presently under execution with the financial and technical assistance from Government of Japan. A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), namely National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited(NHSRCL) has been formed to Implement the Project. The current status of (MAHSR) project is as under:-
(i) The Final Location Survey and Geotechnical investigation completed. Alignment finalized.
(ii) Statutory Clearances relating to wildlife, Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) and Forest clearance obtained in Gujarat.
(iii) Out of total land requirement of approx. 1396 ha, 1264 Ha land has been acquired.
(iv) The entire project work has been divided into 28 Contract Packages including Training Institute at Vadodara. At present, 15 packages have been awarded, 04 are under evaluation and Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for 09 package has to be published.
(v) Out of total 352 Km length of project located in Gujarat and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Civil works in 352 Km length have started in different phases from December, 2020 onwards.
(vi) 1506 out of 1651 utilities have been shifted.
(vii) Foundation for 86 Km and pier for 75 Km in Gujarat has been completed.
(b) to (d): Out of total 1396 Ha. of land required for MAHSR project, about 90% of the land i.e. approx. 1264 Ha land has been acquired. Necessary steps for acquisition of remaining land has been taken up.
(e): The execution of MAHSR Project is being reviewed regularly at the highest level. Further, the Ministry of Railways and NHSRCL are also regularly following up the implementation with the State Governments for expediting the pending issues for early completion of the project.
