Question : INCREASE IN COMPENSATION AMOUNT



(a) whether the Union Government propose to increase the compensation amount of the land acquired by D.D.A.;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government have received any request from some organisations in this regard;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) the action being taken by the Government in this regad; and

(f) the rate of compensation on which D.D.A. is paying to the farmers at present for their acquired land and the dates on which the amount of compensation was revised?

(a)&(b): No, Sir.

(c)to(e): The Government of NCT of Delhi has reported that two representations have been received in this regard for examination on merits.

(f): The lands acquired by the Government as per the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act and then placed at the disposal of DDA for the purpose of development. The DDA is not directly acquiring the land. For acquiring the land, however, Delhi Government have laid-down the following:

`The minimum indicative price of agricultural land (excluding land situated in river bed between the forward bund), is Rs.11.20 lakh per acre and Rs.3.60 lakh per acre for the land situated in the river bed between forward bund. The rate was last revised on 24.9.98 and is effective from 1.4.1998`.
