(a): whether the Government proposes to constitute any other force to handle riots;
(b): if so, the time by which it is likely to be constituted; and
(c): the number of riots that broke out in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar during 2016 and the current year?

(a) to (b) In the year 1991, Rapid Action Force (RAF) was set up in CRPF by converting 10 existing Battalions of CRPF to deal with riots and riot-like situations. Further, in 2016, Government has approved raising 5 more RAF Battalions by converting 5 existing General Duty battalions of CRPF and abolishing one Group Centre in CRPF. There is no plan to constitute any other Force for this purpose.
(c) The details of communal incidents that took place in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar during 2016 and current year are as follows:-
