(b) the action being taken against the persons involved in this racket; and

(c) the manner in which the innocent people who became victims by the racket are being compensated?

Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF RAILWAYS, COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
(SHRI ASHWINI VAISHNAW)

(a): Sixty (60) complaints have been received alleging fraud in the name of providing jobs on Railways.

(b): The complaints are primarily against private persons. The complaints have either been forwarded to police authorities or the complainants have been advised to themselves approach police authorities. There are also cases where complainants have simultaneously filed the complaint with police authorities alongwith sending the complaint to Railway Administration.

(c): In view of (b) above, the issue of compensation is not applicable. However, members of the public are regularly being informed and educated regarding recruitment scams through media and other means so that they do not fall prey.
