(a) whether the Government are aware of the problem of increasing unauthorised access to one`s Internet account;
(b) if so, whether any new technology is proposed to be developed to address the problem of unauthorised access and to provide new security system to lock E-mail;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the steps taken/being taken by the Government in this regard?

(a),(b),(c) and (d): Servers are protected using internet firewalls which prevent unauthorised access of the internet accounts. Access to one`s internet account is through password authentication. Appropriate selection, secure maintenance and timely alteration of passwords are measures advised to the users to prevent unauthorised access to their account. Locking of E-mail is done through password authentication while retrieving e-mails.
