(a) the funds allocated by the National Seeds Corporation for providing seeds to farmers in
the country during the last five years particularly Bihar, State-wise;
(b) whether the Government of Bihar has requested to the Union Government for any
assistance in this regard;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the action taken by the Government in this regard?

(a): National Seeds Corporation does not allocate funds to States for providing seeds to
farmers in the country, rather the Corporation is involved in production and sale of quality seeds
in the country. State-wise seed sold by the Corporation is given at Annexure-I.
(b) to (d): Government has given assistance to Bihar under different Schemes namely
`Macro Management Mode of Agriculture through State Work Plan` and `Integrated Scheme on
Oilseeds, Pulses, Oil-palm and Maize` (ISOPOM)apart from supplying seed minikits of various
crops. The details are given in Annexure-II.
