Question : Web Portal ‘GATI’

(a) whether the Government has launched an online web portal ‘GATI’ and if so, the details and the salient features thereof;

(b) the manner in which the portal is likely to help in speedy construction of road projects;

(c) whether the Government proposes to address the problem raised on the said portal on a daily basis to bring transparency and expedite the national highway construction work by a team of dedicated officers of National Highway Authority of India; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken by the Government in this direction; and

(e) the time by which the work on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is likely to be completed?

(a) National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched an online web portal ‘GATI’ for quick response/ decision from NHAI Officials on the project related issues.
(b) The Contractors/ Concessionaires/ User Fee collecting Agencies & Consultants (AEs/IEs) can register on the portal by filling basic project related details and can raise any project specific issue like delay in decisions, including payments or lodge any other grievance. This will bring transparency and speed up the decision making in NHAI as the Portal will be monitored by the higher authorities.
(c) and (d) Yes. GATI Portal has facility to alert the concerned Project Director, Regional Officer & Head Quarter officers (Chief General Manager & General Manager) by email and SMS. The issue raised on the GATI Portal will be monitored daily by a team in NHAI and will be periodically reviewed by Senior Management.
(e) The work on Delhi –Mumbai Expressway is targeted for completion by January 2023.
