Question : Botanical Garden in A&N Islands

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN POVERTY ALLEVIATION to please to state:
(a) whether the Andaman and Nicobar administration proposes to set up Botanical Garden and Interpretation Centre at Mini zoo, Haddo-II, Port Blair;
(b) if so, whether the said move has been opposed by certain quarters;
(c) if so, the details and reasons therefor;
(d) whether the said proposal of A&N administration has been duly approved by the authorities concerned; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (e): The matter related to Botanical Garden and Interpretation Centre at Andaman and Nicobar does not come under the purview of this Ministry.

Thus, no such proposal to set up Botanical Garden and Interpretation Centre at Mini zoo, Haddo-II, Port Blair has been received in this Ministry.
