(a) the areas in Jharkhand where Agriculture Technology Information Centres have been set up;
(b) the ratio of expenditure incurred by the Central Government and the State Government thereon; and
(c) the works undertaken by those centres to create awareness among the farmers about modern agriculture technology?

(a) The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) have sanctioned for establishment of one Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC) with Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, Jharkhand in July 2001.
(b) The entire cost of Rs. 36.86 lakhs for establishment of the centre has been sanctioned by ICAR.
(c) During one year of its establishment, the centre has provided 29 quintals of seeds, 2200 copies of kisan diary and 5500 copies of extension literature benefitting 4095 farmers; besides diagnostic and other farm advisory services.
