Question : CANCELLATION DIVERSION OF TRAINS

(a) the details of trains cancelled/diverted due to recent heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu coastal areas;

(b) whether the Government proposes to run special trains to clear the rush due to cancellation of such trains;

(c) if so, the details thereof; and

(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): During the period October-November 2005, 1740 trains have been cancelled and 335 trains have been diverted due to heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

(b): No, Sir.

(c): Does not arise.

(d): Due to operational problems.
