(a) the status of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) under the National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture;

(b) the number of farmers who took up organic farming as part of the scheme;

(c) the number of Participatory Guarantee Certification (PGS) provided to such farmers till now; and

(a) & (b): Under Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY), 29859 clusters comprising of 14.93 lakh farmers have adopted organic farming, covering an area of 5.97 lakh ha. Rs. 1138.45 crore has been released since 2015-16. The state wise details of area covered, farmers benefited and amount released are given at Annexure I.

(c): 655862 farmers have been certified under the Participatory Guarantee Certification (PGS).
(d): A total area of 27.77 lakh ha has been brought under organic farming which includes 5.97 lakh hectares under Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY), 0.71 lakh hectares under Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER), 19.4 lakh hectares under National Program for Organic Production (NPOP) of APEDA and 1.70 lakh hectares under other initiatives. The State-wise details of the area covered under PKVY, MOVCDNER, NPOP and others are given at Annexure-Il.
