Question : Funds under PMAY-U for Telangana

(a) whether the Government has released the ear-marked and sanctioned amount under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) to the State of Telangana and if so, the details thereof;

(b) the amount of funds sanctioned, released and utilised under the said scheme during in each of the last six years, State/UT-wise;

(c ) the yearly physical target of housing units to be constructed and recorded physical progress since 2014, State/UT-wise; and

(d) the number of completed houses inhabited by beneficiaries so far, State/UT-wise?

(a)Yes, Sir; out of Rs. 3,382.03 crore of Central Assistance sanctioned for the State of Telangana under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) [PMAY(U)], Rs 2,237.37 crore has been released to the State. This includes Rs. 1,054.27 crore of interest subsidy disbursed to the beneficiaries of the State under Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme of PMAY (U).

(b) State/UT-wise details of central assistance sanctioned, released and utilized under PMAY(U) in each of last six years are at Annexure-I, II and III respectively.

(c) & (d) During ‘Housing for All’ Mission period from 2015 to 2022, the scheme of PMAY (U) targets to fulfil validated demand of 112 lakh houses assessed through demand survey undertaken by States/UTs. State and UT-wise details of houses sanctioned so far, constructed during each of the years from 2015-16 to 2020-21 and occupied by the beneficiaries are at Annexure-IV.
