(a) whether the investment in the textiles sector has gone up over a period of time;
(b) if so, the details thereof for the last three years and the current year, Statewise;
(c) whether efforts have been made to boost investment in the sector; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the assessment of the same by the Government
in the context of the expected growth in the sector?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. The State-wise details of the projects sanctioned under Technology Upgradation
Fund Scheme for last three years and current year is at Annexure.
(c) & (d): Yes, Madam. The Government has launched various schemes including the flagship Technology
Upgradation Funds Scheme, Scheme of Integrated Textile Parks and the Mega cluster Scheme with a view
to attract investment in the sector.
