Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government proposes to open more Jan Aushadhi Outlets in the country in order to provide medicines to the people at affordable prices; and
(b) if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise?

(a) Yes Madam. In order to make available quality generic medicines at affordable prices to all, Government endeavours to cover all districts of the country by opening more and more ‘Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) Kendras’ in the country.
(b) A State/UT-wise list of 5001 functional PMBJP Kendras as on 05.02.2019 is annexed.
