(a) Yes, Sir.
(b) The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER),Mohali,an organization
working under Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers have published a report in year 2008 on the
data base of herbal wealth of North-East India.The report lists out 1836 plants used by the local
people for human and veterinary health care.The National Medicinal Plants Board has also sanctioned
projects for survey,documentation and scientific validation of the therapeutic uses of the
plants occurring in some of the North-Eastern States.
