(a) to (d) As regards All India Radio (AIR), 5 transmitters including one FM Transmitter in
Andhra Pradesh could not be commissioned due to non-sanction of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) staff.
94 nos. of 100 Watt FM relay Transmitters (49 nos. in North-East region & 45 nos. in rest of
the country) including two in Andhra Pradesh could not be commissioned due to non-receipt of
frequency clearance from WPC.
Details of total amount spent on each of them is as at Annexure.
So far as Doordarshan is concerned, all the new transmitters installed during the last three
years, have been commissioned. No new transmitter project in Andhra Pradesh has been installed
during the last three years.
(e) Commissioning of AIR transmitters are dependant on availability of staff and frequency
clearance.
