(a) the number of Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in Chamoli, Pauri and Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, location-wise;
(b) whether all KVs in above locations have their own infrastructure as per standards and if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, the reasons therefor and action taken or being taken in this regard; and
(d) the status of the construction of long pending issue of own building of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Gopeshwar, Uttarakhand and details thereof?

(a) There are eight Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in the Districts of Chamoli, Pauri and Rudraprayag - at Joshimath, ITBP Gauchar, Gwaldham & Gopeswar in Distt. Chamoli, at Srinagar, Pauri & Lansdowne in Distt. Pauri and at Augustmuni in Distt. Rudraprayag.
(b) KV Joshimath and KV Lansdowne are functioning in permanent school buildings as per Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) standards. The remaining six KVs are functioning in temporary buildings provided by the concerned sponsoring authorities.
(c) Construction of permanent buildings for KVs depends upon identification of suitable land, completion of lease formalities in favour of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan by the sponsoring authorities and availability of requisite resources etc.
(d) Construction work of permanent school building for KV, Gopeshwar has been entrusted to Construction and Design Services, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam in September, 2014.
