Question : Textile Policy

(a) whether the textile policy at the national level was formulated nearly 20 years ago;

(b) if so, whether the Government proposes to revisit the Policy and formulate a new one taking into account various developmental, technological, marketing and other changes in the world;

(c) whether the Government has initiated to formulate a new textile policy in place of old one; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a): Yes.
(b) to (d): Government is formulating New Textile Policy for overall development of textile sector. New Textile Policy is under process of consultation with stakeholders and has not been finalised yet.
