Question : MISUSE OF OXYTOCIN



(a) whether the Government have so far not cleared the use of RBGH in milch animals for increasing milk production in the country;

(b) whether despite widespread misuse of oxytocin for let down in milk, its use has been banned in the country as it causes many harmful effects both in animals and to milk consumers as per People for Animals reports and website PFA; and

(c) whether the Government are aware that EU have very recently banned the use of rBGH in view of the R and D findings all over the world indicating many serious doubts on the need of rBGH and its many harmful effects both in animals and consumers?
