(a) the number of highways and road projects undertaken by the Union Government in Tamil Nadu during the last three years;
(b) the names of places likely to be connected by these projects in Tamil Nadu;
(c) whether the Union Government has approved/sanctioned any projects for the State of Tamil Nadu during last 6 months for widening and improving of National Highways; and
(d) if so, the details thereof, along with amount allo- cated for these projects?

(a) and (b): The development and maintenance of National Highways (NHs) is a continuous process. During the last three years 75 number of works were sanctioned/commenced in the state Tamil Nadu.
(c) and (d): During the last six months Ministry has san- ctioned/commenced 23 No. of works amounting to Rs. 1253 crore for the development and maintenance of several NHs in the State of Tamil Nadu.
