(b): Country-wise tourist arrival figures for the year 2000 are available upto September only. There has been a decline of 2.1 per cent in tourist arrivals during the year 2000 (January – September) from Western Europe as compared to the same period of the previous year. However, there has been an over all growth of 6.4 per cent in the foreign tourist arrivals into the country in the year 2000 as compared to 1999.
