Question : EFFECT ON TOURISM BY BAN ON LIQUOR IN HOTELS



(a) whether the recent restriction on sale of liquor in hotels by Government of Kerala has affected the tourism industry;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the revenue loss from decreased number of tourists visiting Kerala;

(c) whether the Government has any plan to save tourism industry in Kerala affected by the restriction on sale of liquor; and

(d) if so, the measures taken by the Government in this regard?

(a): The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has so far not conducted any study regarding effect on tourism industry due to recent restriction on sale of liquor in hotels by the Government of Kerala.
