(a) whether the Government has any proposal to provide land to the rural landless farmers for agricultural
purpose in order to increase the agricultural production and provide livelihood to the farmers;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) the other steps taken/being taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (d): Land and its management falls within the Administrative jurisdiction of the State Governments as provided under Entry No.18 of List II (State List) of the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India. The role of Central Govt. in land related matters is only of an advisory and coordinating nature. Accordingly distribution of various categories of land for various purposes is done by the State Govts. as per the provisions/criterion of the respective schemes/programmes implemented for the purpose.
