(a) & (b)Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperation has informed that the gross irrigated
area for the years 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 was 87981 thousand hectares, 88867
thousand hectares and 86423 thousand hectares respectively. State-wise details of
gross irrigated land in the country including that of Andhra Pradesh is enclosed at
annexure – I.
