Question : Water to Every Household through HGJY

Will the Minister of JAL SHAKTI be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is providing water to every household through Har Ghar Jal Yojana (HGJY);
(b) if so, the names of the States and districts which have been included in the said scheme along with the details thereof;
(c) the details of funds allocated to all the districts of Rajasthan including Sikar, Karauli Dholpur, Bharatpur and Alwar districts under the said scheme;
(d) the alternatives for providing water in several Tehsils of Sikar, Karauli Dholpur, Bharatpur and Alwar Parliamentary Constituencies where there is a shortage of water the area being drought-prone and ground water level has gone down;
(e) whether the Government proposes to provide water to Sikar, Karauli Dholpur, Bharatpur and Alwar Parliamentary Constituencies through canals; and
(f) if so, the details of the works being done in this regard?

(a) & (b) Since August, 2019, Government of India in partnership with States is implementing Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to make provision of potable tap water supply to every rural household across the country, by 2024.
At the time of announcement of Jal Jeevan Mission, 3.23 Crore rural households were reported to have tap water connections. So far, 6.65 Crore households have been provided with tap water connections in last 35 months. Thus, as on 25th July 2022, out of 19.14 Crore rural households in the country, around 9.88 Crore (51.61%) households are reported to have tap water supply in their homes.

(c) Drinking Water being a State subject. It is States, who plan, design, approve and implement drinking water supply schemes. Government of India supplements the efforts of the States by providing technical and financial assistance. As such details of district wise fund allocation is not made and maintained by this department. However, details of Central fund allocated, fund drawn and fund utilization reported by the State of Rajasthan under Jal Jeevan Mission in 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 (as on 25.07.2022) is as under:

(d) to (f) As informed by the State, for supply of drinking water, the villages of parliamentary constituencies of Sikar being covered from Indira Gandhi Nahar Pariyojana & Phase II of Isarda Dam. Similarly, Alwar is being covered from by bulk water taken from Chambal river & Phase II of Isarda Dam. The Dholpur-Karauli and Bharatpur are being covered through bulk water taken from Chambal River. Details of status of detailed project report (DPR) in the villages under these constituencies are as under:
