:
(a) the number of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) functioning in the country at present;
(b) the number of JNVs having permanent buildings and the number of those functioning in
temporary buildings,State-wise;
(c) whether the Government has any scheme to provide permanent building to all JNVs in the
country;and
(d) if so,the details thereof, State-wise?

a) There are 554 functional Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas(JNVs) in the country at present.
(b) The number of JNVs having permanent buildings and the no. of JNVs functioning in temporary
buildings are at Annexure.
(c) Yes, Sir.
(d) The work relating to construction of the Vidyalayas is sanctioned after the
land has been transferred in favour of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti by the respective State
Governments and subject to availability of funds.
