(a) to (c): In all important Public Sector Undertakings and Banks outsiders are already being appointed as Chief Vigilance Officers. As per information provided, Central Vigilance Commission has now suggested that ‘outsiders’ as Chief Vigilance Officer’s should also be posted in few other departments namely Post & Telegraphs, the Railways, Central Board of Direct Taxes and Central Board of Excise & Customs.
