Question : Treatment of New Strain of COVID-19

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government is aware of any fusion of multiple systems of medicine to completely prevent the infection caused by new strains of Coronaviruses, if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the Government is aware of any drugs/ medicine to treat the new variant of COVID-19 and if so the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has formulated any plan to develop medicine to completely prevent and treat the new strains of Coronaviruses; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): No fusion of multiple systems of medicine to completely prevent the infection caused by new strains of Coronaviruses has been launched.

(b): No definitive drugs/medicine based treatment exists against new variant of COVID-19.

(c) & (d): Researchers across the globe are conducting investigations to develop medicines against coronavirus causing COVID-19. Treatment guidelines do not differ between strains of SARS-COV-2.
