(a) A cumulative renewable energy capacity of 9479.95 MW has been installed in the state of Rajasthan till 29th February, 2020. Source-wise details of the installed capacity are as under:

(b) As per Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd (RRECL), the details of steps taken by the Government to enhance renewable energy capacity in the State of Rajasthan are as follows:
• To promote solar generation in the State, Rajasthan Government has issued new Rajasthan Solar Energy Policy 2019 and Rajasthan Wind and Hybrid Energy Policy 2019.
• Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company limited (RSDCL) is developing a Solar park of 925 MW capacity at village Nokh, Jaisalmer.
• Empanelment of vendors for implementation of 45 MW capacity Roof top SPV projects
• Implementation of Roof top SPV projects on Government Buildings under RESCO Mode for 14 MW capacity.
• Implementation of Pradhan Mantri – Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM).
Besides, the Government of India has taken following steps to catalyze development & deployment renewable energy capacity in the country including the state of Rajasthan are as follows:-
1. Permitting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) up to 100 percent under the automatic route,
2. strengthening of Power Purchase Agreements(PPAs),
3. mandating requirement of Letter of Credit(LC) as payment security mechanism by distribution licensees for ensuring timely payments to RE generators,
4. setting of Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Parks to provide land and transmission on plug and play basis,
5. waiver of Inter State Transmission System (ISTS) charges and losses for inter-state sale of solar and wind power for projects to be commissioned by 31st December, 2022,
6. notification of standard bidding guidelines to enable distribution licensee to procure solar and wind power at competitive rates,
7. declaration of trajectory for Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) up to the year 2022,
8. laying of transmission lines under Green Energy Corridor Scheme for evacuation of power in renewable rich areas.
9. Launching of new schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM), Solar Rooftop Phase II, 12000 MW CPSU Scheme Phase II, etc
(c) The state Government of Rajasthan has set a target of installing 30,000 MW of solar power projects, 4000 MW of wind projects and 3500 MW of hybrid projects as per Rajasthan Solar Energy Policy 2019 and Rajasthan Wind and Hybrid Energy Policy 2019.
A total amount of Rs 88.07 crore has been released as Central Financial Assistance (CFA) to the state of Rajasthan during last three years and the current year for implementing various renewable energy schemes / programmes in the state. Out of which, Utilization Certificates for an amount of Rs. 87.73 crore has been received.
(d) As per Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd (RRECL), no proposals are pending for approval.
