Question : Investigation into Complaints

(a) the number of complaints received against various wings under the Directorate General of Shipping during the last three years and the current years;

(b) the number of such complaints on which the investigation has been ordered and completed along with the action taken against the guilty as a result thereof;

(c) the number of complaints on which the investigation is pending along with the reasons therefor; and

(d) the time by which the pending investigations are likely to be completed and action taken thereon?

(a): The number of complaints receivedagainst officials of the Directorate General of Shipping during the last three years and the current years is given below:-

>(b): Out of the 155 cases disposed of, investigation in 7 cases has been completed resulting in imposition of Major Penalty in 4 cases, Minor Penalty in 2 cases and issue of advisory in 1 case.
(c)&(d):Three cases are under investigation and action thereon will be completed after following due procedure.
