(a) the rank of Bihar in terms of National Highways (NHs);
(b) the total length of roads upgraded to NHs in the State during the last three years and the
current year; and
(c) whether the Government proposes to upgrade additional roads/highways to NHs in the State and
if so, the details thereof?

(a) Bihar stands 8th in terms of total length of National Highways (NHs) in kilometers in the country.
(b) 578 kms of roads have been upgraded to NHs in the State during the last three years and the current year.
(c) Upgradation of roads/routes as National Highways is a continuous process and is taken up from time to
time depending upon requirement of connectivity, inter-se-priority and availability of fund
