Question : COMPLAINTS OF CORRUPTION AGAINST PETRONET LNG



(a) whether the Government has received complaints of corruption against Petronet LNG particularly regarding imports;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with any inquiry has been conducted by the Government and action taken in this regard;

(c) whether the Government has conducted any audits of the account of Petronet LNG about irregularities during the last three years;

(d) if so, the details thereof and the outcome the said audit done during the said period;

(e) the annual turnover including profit/loss incurred by Petronet LNG during the said period; and

(f) the percentage of equity owned by the Government in the said company?

(a) & (b): Complaints regarding alleged irregularities in respect of long term Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) contracts executed by Petronet LNG Limited (PLL) for import of 7.5 MMTPA with Rasgas, Qatar and 1.44 MMTPA with Exxon Mobil Gorgon Project in Australia have been received. A Committee was constituted by the Government to enquire into the alleged irregularities and findings of the Committee are under examination in consultation with Central Vigilance Commission.

(c): No, Madam.

(d): Does not arise in view of (c) above.

(e): The annual turnover of PLL including profit during the last three years is as under:
