(a) the standard runway length needed for an international airport;
(b) the present status of the construction works of Kannur Airport project in Kerala; and
(c) the expected time of completion of works at the said airport and the time by which it is likely to be made functional?

(a) The standard runway length shall be as per the type of aircraft intended to operate at the airport as per International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
(b): The construction work of Kannur Airport Project has been started. At present, 65% of air side works and 55% of city side works including Passenger terminal Building has been completed.
(c): The timeline for construction of airport projects depends upon various factors such as land acquisition, availability of mandatory clearances, financial closure, etc. by the individual operator. The airport is scheduled for completion by September, 2016.
