THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY(SHRI JYOTIRADITYA M. SCINDIA)
(a)to (c) India and EU have established bilateral trade mechanisms like India EU Joint
Commission to which report the India EU Sub Commission on Trade, India EU Sub Commission
on Economic Cooperation and India EU Sub Commission on Development Cooperation. Their
meetings take place on an annual basis. The next India EU Joint Commission Meeting is
scheduled to be held on 29th September, 2010. The India EU Joint Commission reviews and
assesses the bilateral trade between India and EU and other trade issues including Sanitary
and Phytosanitary measures(SPS), Technical Barriers to Trade(TBT) and Non Tariff Barriers to
Trade(NTBs) etc., are also discussed.
